Prison Island and Nakupenda Sandbank Day
Tour details
Overview
Two of the most photographed places near Stone Town in one day. Your boat leaves Stone Town for Prison Island, where giant Aldabra tortoises live among the trees, and then continues to Nakupenda, a strip of white sand surrounded by clear water.
Nakupenda only appears when the tide is low, so the day is planned around the tide. You snorkel around the reef, swim and relax on the sand while a seafood lunch is prepared, before sailing back to Stone Town in the afternoon.
Highlights
- Giant tortoises on Prison Island
