Overview
A week on the north or east coast with three excursion days and plenty of beach time. You visit Jozani Forest and a spice farm, sail Menai Bay on Safari Blue, and finish with Stone Town and Prison Island.
You stay on the north or east coast. Nungwi and Kendwa in the north are known for swimming at most states of the tide and for their sunsets, while Kiwengwa, Pwani Mchangani and Matemwe on the east coast have long white beaches close to Mnemba Atoll.
Highlights
- Jozani Forest: Walk among the red colobus monkeys in Zanzibar's only national park.
- Spice Tour: See, smell and taste spices and tropical fruit on a spice farm.
- Safari Blue: Full day by dhow from Fumba: snorkeling, a sandbank, Kwale Island and a seafood lunch.
- Stone Town City Tour: Guided walk through the UNESCO-listed old town: the former slave market site, the market, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort and the Palace Museum.
- Prison Island: About 30 minutes by boat from Stone Town to see the giant tortoises, with time to swim and snorkel.

Red colobus monkeys in Jozani, then a spice farm visit.

Day 4: Safari Blue
Pickup at 08:00 for a day by dhow from Fumba with snorkeling, Kwale Island and a seafood meal.
Day 5: Free day
A day at leisure.
Day 6: Stone Town and Prison Island
Walking tour of Stone Town, then a boat trip to Prison Island at 14:00.
Day 7: Departure
Leisure until your transfer to the airport.
