Overview

Paje's wide, shallow lagoon and steady winds have made it one of the best-known kitesurfing spots in East Africa. There is plenty of space to learn and enough wind to make it worth it.

New to the sport? A trial lesson starts you off on land and in shallow water, while a beginner course over two to three days takes you to your first rides on your own. Experienced riders can rent gear and head out, or try the quieter water at Jambiani.
