Overview

The green sea turtles at Baraka Natural Aquarium in Nungwi were rescued and are cared for in a natural lagoon fed by the ocean. Under the guidance of the staff you can swim alongside them and feed them seaweed.

It is a short, calm visit and one of the easiest ways to see sea turtles up close, which makes it a favourite with families. You also learn how the turtles are rescued and looked after.
