Overview

Inside a limestone cave in Jambiani is a pool of clear fresh water that the local community has considered sacred for generations. Kuza Cave is managed with the community and guided by community members.

The visit starts with a traditional Swahili welcome and the story of the cave, followed by drumming and music, a taste of local food and herbal remedies, and finally a swim in the cave's spring. It is a slow, personal way to experience Swahili culture.
